Hautkrebs ist die häufigste Form von Krebs mit schnell ansteigenden Inzidenzen weltweit. Melanome stammen von Zellen, welche Melanin absondern, während Basal- und Plattenepithelkarzinome von Keratinozyten stammen, die die epidermale Barriere der Haut bilden.
